Meanwhile, Clark had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on the road to the tune of 41-8. The Chargers pushed the score to 28-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirate had little chance of recovering from.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between MJAY TAUALA and his top target Andres Pollard. TAUALA threw for 201 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes while Pollard gained 257 total yards and three touchdowns. Pollard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clark was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 423 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon only gained 112.
Eldorado took their victory against Clark in their previous meeting back in August of 2023 by a conclusive 21-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eldorado since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
