Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ceres). They put the hurt on the Lathrop Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

They hit Lathrop with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leo Baez, Gabriel Farias, and Mario Vargas.

The win made it two in a row for Ceres and bumps their season record up to 5-3-4. As for Lathrop, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-4-3.

Ceres didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pacheco on the 7th. As for Lathrop, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against Johansen on the 7th.
