Football Game Preview: Quaker Valley Quakers vs. Avonworth Antelopes

Quaker Valley hasn't had much luck against Avonworth recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Quakers will square off against the Antelopes at 7:00 p.m. Quaker Valley has given up an average of 32 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Quaker Valley's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Hopewell on Friday. They were outmatched by the Vikings and fell 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Quakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Vikings are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Avonworth put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 34-6 victory over Central Valley. The Antelopes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Quaker Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Avonworth, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Quaker Valley was dealt a bruising 46-7 loss at the hands of Avonworth in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Quakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
