Recap: Lab University Prep Lab Rats vs. Combine Academy National Goats
The Lab University Prep Lab Rats and the Combine Academy National Goats squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Lab University Prep Lab Rats had to settle for second. They fell 76-64 to the Goats. While losing is never fun, Lab University Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Combine Academy National is ranked fifth).
Several Lab Rats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Aukuso, who scored 19 points. Aukuso is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Jovon (JJ) Dancy Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Lab University Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 20-15. As for Combine Academy National, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
