Preview: Foreman Hornets vs. Douglass Tigers
The Foreman Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Douglass Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foreman will be strutting in after a victory while Douglass will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Foreman has not done well against Disney II recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Foreman blew past Disney II, posting a 52-21 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Foreman who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Alysia Gause, who scored 28 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Foreman's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kesler Jessica, who scored 10 points along with 8 steals.
Douglass played against Manley and lost via forfeit.
Foreman's victory bumped their season record to 3-1 while Disney II's defeat dropped theirs to 1-2.
Foreman took their victory against Douglass in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 31-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foreman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
