Softball Recap: Fontana Beats Rim of the World for Their Third Straight Win

Fontana waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Rim of the World Fighting Scots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Steelers have posted against the Fighting Scots since April 5, 2023.

The team relied heavily on Leia Armijo, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Metzy Marquez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Fontana's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Rim of the World, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-1.

Fontana wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Notre Dame on the 25th. As for Rim of the World, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Arroyo Valley on the 25th.
