Basketball Game Preview: Poolesville Falcons vs. Damascus Hornets

The Poolesville Falcons will face off against the Damascus Hornets on Friday. Poolesville will be strutting in after a victory while Damascus will be coming in after a loss.

Damascus is hoping to do what Watkins Mill couldn't two weeks ago: put an end to Poolesville's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Poolesville breezed by Watkins Mill to the tune of 46-13.

Meanwhile, Damascus lost 45-21 to Neshaminy on Friday. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Damascus and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Poolesville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Poolesville came up short against Damascus when the teams last played back in February, falling 41-29. Can Poolesville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
