Soccer Recap: Smith County Gets the Win

Smith County kept a clean sheet against Taylor County on Saturday. They skirted past the Cardinals 1-0. That's two games straight that Smith County have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Aubree Spain, who's now up to eight this season.

Smith County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five games. As for Taylor County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Smith County will take on Loudon in a tournament on Sunday. As for Taylor County, they will host Russell County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
