 San Diego was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  rough 11-1 defeat at the hands of the Santa Fe Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to San Diego of the  10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
  Hanna Patterson was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with a  home run.
 On Santa Fe Christian's side,  Olivia Anderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Anderson has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Anderson was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Maddie Binnie was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.  Kayla Emond was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 San Diego's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Santa Fe Christian, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.
 San Diego didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  an  8-6  loss vs. University City on the 27th. Santa Fe Christian has also already played their next game,  a  12-1  win against Morse on the 26th.
