Soccer Recap: Jefferson Falls to Decatur in First Game of Season

Jefferson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Golden Gators on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Coming up, Jefferson is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Auburn Mountainview at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Decatur, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Kent-Meridian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Kent-Meridian's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
