Valmeyer and Carlyle are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Pirates will face off against the Indians/Lady Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Valmeyer and Chester had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9.

Carlyle had taken Okawville down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Indians/Lady Indians fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1. While the Indians/Lady Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rockets 25-18 in the first set.

Carlyle started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-17, 26-24.

Valmeyer's loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Carlyle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.

Valmeyer couldn't quite get it done against Carlyle when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Thankfully for the Pirates, Raelyn Harris (who had 13 digs and four aces) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
