Volleyball Recap: Holcomb Takes a Loss

The Holcomb Longhorns came up short against the Ellsworth Bearcats on Saturday and fell 2-0.

While Holcomb ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19.

Makayla Tolbert paced Holcomb's offense, picking up seven kills. Tolbert got some help from Jaylee Wickwar and her 15 assists.

Holcomb's loss dropped their record down to 36-5. As for Ellsworth, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 31-8.

Holcomb does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellsworth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Beloit on the 25th.
