Basketball Recap: Appalachian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Appalachian's game on Tuesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Locust Fork Hornets. The Eagles have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Locust Fork's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tate Swindle, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Swindle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Doss, who posted 12 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Appalachian's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Locust Fork, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Appalachian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-51 defeat against Red Bay on the 26th. As for Locust Fork, they have also already played their next game, a 50-45 loss against Holly Pond on the 2nd.
