Basketball Game Preview: Sperry Pirates vs. Bristow Pirates

Sperry is 2-8 against Bristow since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Sperry Pirates will host the Bristow Pirates at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Sperry came up short against Mannford and fell 49-41. Sperry has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bristow had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 32-23 victory over the Tigers.

Bristow found their leader in freshman Josie Morgan, who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Those five steals gave Morgan a new career-high.

Bristow smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Sperry's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Bristow, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
