Softball Recap: Mt. Diablo Takes a Loss

Mt. Diablo lost against Swett back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mt. Diablo came up short against Swett, falling 16-3. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leif Scallin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Leslie Garcia also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Mt. Diablo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Swett, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Diablo will welcome Ygnacio Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Diablo is facing Ygnacio Valley at the right time seeing as Ygnacio Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Swett, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
