Volleyball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Midway lost against Sherwood back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of the Marksmen by a score of 3-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Midway sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-11, 19-25, 25-13, 22-25, 15-10.

Dakota Dean paced Midway's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dean got some help from Ella Lyon and her 27 assists. Addison Lewis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Sherwood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Midway has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Rich Hill on the 25th. As for Sherwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against El Dorado Springs on the 25th.
