Football Recap: South Williamsport Comes Up Short

South Williamsport and Warrior Run squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but South Williamsport had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Defenders, falling 41-7. The Mountaineers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Defenders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Maxwell Fogelman had an outrageously good game for Warrior Run as he picked up 60 receiving yards and two scores, and also rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Fogelman also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. James Keifer was another key player, throwing for 144 yards and three TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes.

South Williamsport's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Warrior Run, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

As of now, neither South Williamsport nor the Defenders have any future games scheduled.
