Taylor County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They came out on top against the Central Hawks by a score of 69-56. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Hawks are ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Taylor County had a senior duo take command as Brayden Ellison posted 18 points and Marcal Myles earned 14 points. Ellison's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Chan Lumpkin was another key player, putting up eight points.

Loss or not, Central got some senior leadership from Sema J Copeland and Demarcus White. Copeland put up 24 points, while White scored 22 points.

Taylor County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-38 win against Webster County on the 31st.
