Cardinal Gibbons waltzed into their game on Monday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came out on top against the Broughton Capitals by a score of 14-11. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 13-3 victory on April 10th.

Katie Scavone was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Talia Marinaro was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cardinal Gibbons kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 11 consecutive matches.

Cardinal Gibbons' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Broughton, they moved to 11-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Cardinal Gibbons has already played their next contest, an 11-9 victory against Enloe on the 2nd. Broughton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
