Basketball Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy Beats Fredericksburg Academy for Their Seventh Straight Win

Randolph-Macon Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Fredericksburg Academy Falcons to the tune of 71-39. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Yellow Jackets had established a 27 point advantage.

Randolph-Macon Academy had a senior duo take command as Tega Esievo went 11 of 15 en route to 27 points and three steals and David Kayeye dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Esievo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Kirabo, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Randolph-Macon Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Randolph-Macon Academy's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Fredericksburg Academy, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
