Volleyball Recap: West Prairie Cyclones vs. Illini West Chargers
West Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Illini West Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cyclones of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11.
West Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Illini West, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Prairie will face off against Rushville-Industry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rushville-Industry is coming into the contest with five straight victories on the road, so West Prairie will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Illini West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Augusta Southeastern at 7:00 p.m.
