Preview: Magoffin County Hornets vs. Nicholas County Bluejackets
Magoffin County has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. The Magoffin County Hornets and the Nicholas County Bluejackets will face off at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Magoffin County took a serious blow against Leslie County, falling 73-27. While losing is never fun, Magoffin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Leslie County is ranked 60th).
Nicholas County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bryan Station on Friday.
Magoffin County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Nicholas County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
