Volleyball Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss

The Pomona Panthers came up short against the Regis Groff Fusion on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Pomona's offense was headlined by Ian Metzler and Dominic Sanders, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Mitchell Cox and his 12 assists. Hector Diaz Vazquez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Regis Groff, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Pomona has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Westminster on the 8th. As for Regis Groff, they will head out on the road to square off against Bear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
