Volleyball Game Preview: Hudson Pirates vs. Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons

The Hudson Pirates will face off against the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hudson is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Denver just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Cyclones. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since September 4th.

Meanwhile, Aplington-Parkersburg waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Comets.

Aplington-Parkersburg's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Hudson came up short against Aplington-Parkersburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
