Grace Birk turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than seven strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Wellsville back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock.

Birk and Burlington will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mission Valley at 4:00 p.m. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Vikings thanks in part to Birk: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.
