Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the St. Dominic Crusaders, falling 10-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Liberty has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for St. Dominic, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

Coincidentally, Liberty and St. Dominic will both be playing Fort Zumwalt South the next time they take the field. The Crusaders will host the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
