Baseball Recap: Biddeford Beats Mt. Ararat for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Biddeford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Mt. Ararat Eagles 7-6. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Haggett, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Smith, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win was the fifth in a row for Biddeford, bringing their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Mt. Ararat, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-4 record.

As of now, neither Biddeford nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
