Volleyball Game Preview: Middletown Mustangs vs. Cloverdale Eagles + How To Watch

The Middletown Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Cloverdale Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Middletown had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Clear Lake on Tuesday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Middletown never let Clear Lake on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cloverdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Lower Lake with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cloverdale was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10, 25-14.

Cloverdale's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Middletown, their win bumped their record up to 6-19.

Middletown might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Cloverdale in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
