Baseball Recap: Bourbon Comes Up Short

Bourbon lost to Dixon back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The War Hawks lost 14-4 to the Bulldogs.

Bourbon dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Dixon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bourbon will take on Crystal City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The War Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Dixon, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Richland at 5:00 p.m.
