Softball Recap: Riverside Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Riverside barely beat Woodrow Wilson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Flying Eagles 9-3 on Friday. Considering the Warriors have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lexi Osborne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, McKinley Clark was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Riley Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Riverside's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Woodrow Wilson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Riverside nor Woodrow Wilson have any future games scheduled.
