Softball Recap: Joliet West Comes Up Short

Joliet West was the 10-2 winner over Romeoville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joliet West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alaina Grohar, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Caitlin Jadron also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Joliet West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Romeoville, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Joliet West will square off against rival Plainfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Romeoville is set to face off against their familiar foe Joliet Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
