Softball Recap: Orange Lutheran Triumphs

Orange Lutheran had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Chino Hills Huskies on Wednesday. This was payback for the Lancers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Rylee Silva was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carlie Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Madelyn Armendariz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Orange Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Norco on the 20th. As for Chino Hills, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against JSerra Catholic on the 20th.
