Baseball Recap: St. Rita Comes Up Short

St. Rita lost against Chicago Mt. Carmel back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caravan.

Angel Castro was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Christian Clark was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

St. Rita has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

While St. Rita had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
