Baseball Recap: Zanesville Comes Up Short

Zanesville lost against Licking Valley back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Panthers, falling 9-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zanesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solomon Norris, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Norris has hit this season.

Zanesville's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Licking Valley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Zanesville will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Licking Valley, they will take on West Muskingum at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
