Basketball Recap: Greenville H Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Greenville H won the last time they faced Oak Forest and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Greenville H Hurricanes walked away with a 56-47 win over the Oak Forest Warriors. Given the Hurricanes' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 160th in South Carolina, while the Warriors are ranked 355th in North Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Forest lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyler Woolard, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 12 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Jack Hunter, who posted nine points.

Greenville H is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-18 record this season. Oak Forest is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-14.
