Volleyball Recap: Chambers Cougars vs. West Mecklenburg Hawks        
        
		
             Chambers won the last time they faced West Mecklenburg, and things went their way  on Thursday too. Everything went the Chambers Cougars' way against the West Mecklenburg Hawks as the Chambers Cougars made off with  a  3-0 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Cougars.
 Chambers was dominant in the third set, but otherwise had just enough against a tough West Mecklenburg squad. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23,  25-11.
 Chambers can attribute much of their success to  Brianna Polk, who  hit 78.6% for 25  kills, 22  digs, and eight  aces. Polk is  crushing it when it comes to  kills: she's   had at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.
 Chambers  couldn't miss and  finished the game having scored on 48.3% of their attack attempts. That's a new  trend for them: their average  hitting percentage was 29.8% earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 40.1%.
 Chambers has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record  this season. As for West Mecklenburg,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-13.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chambers is on the road again  on Tuesday to play Hough at 6:30  p.m. Hough will roll in looking for their  12th straight  win, something Chambers surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Mecklenburg, they will face off against West Charlotte at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. West Charlotte is coming into the  match with four straight  losses at home,  meaning West Mecklenburg will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
