After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South, Geneva was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Madison Blue Streaks 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Blue Streaks back in April, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Annabelle Bragg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Geneva's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Markijohn, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Geneva's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Madison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneva will venture away from home to take on West Geauga at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Madison, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lakeside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
