Softball Recap: Old Forge Takes a Loss

Old Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Mid Valley Spartans. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kamryn Notari spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Ariana Davitt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Old Forge's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mid Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Coming up, Old Forge will take on Western Wayne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mid Valley, they will host Dunmore at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bucks have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
