Football Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane + Official Tickets

Berrien hasn't had much luck against Fitzgerald recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rebels are taking a road trip to square off against the Purple Hurricane at 7:30 p.m. Berrien has given up an average of 35.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Berrien is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Worth County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rebels had to suffer through a 54-16 loss at the hands of the Rams. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Rams are ranked 56th).

Although Berrien took the loss, they still got scores from Champ Tumer and Tre Mcqueen.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over Thomasville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Purple Hurricane.

Fitzgerald now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Berrien, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Berrien took a serious blow against Fitzgerald in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 56-7. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
