Basketball Recap: Van Takes a Loss

After flying high against Brownsboro on Wednesday, Van came back down to earth. The Vandals fell 45-40 to the Canton Eagles on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-53 on January 6th.

Van's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Canton, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Van will square off against rival Mabank at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Canton is set to take on their familiar foe Lindale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
