Melrose came tearing into Saturday's match with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Logan Longhorns by a score of 3-1. The Buffaloes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

Melrose had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-12.

Braylan Morgan paced Melrose's offense, picking up 19 kills. Morgan got some help from Kailey Jackson and her 41 assists. Jackson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hally Draper, each putting up three.

Melrose's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Logan, their loss ended a 12-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-4.

Melrose has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Quemado on the 1st. As for Logan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Springer on the 1st.
