After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West, Hawthorne was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over the Beverly Hills Normans. Considering the Cougars' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Hawthorne moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Beverly Hills, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Hawthorne will venture away from home to take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Apaches' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.22 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Beverly Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
