Crook County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Estacada, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Cowboys blew past the Rangers 16-1 on Monday. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Crook County got a massive performance out of Kya Mozingo, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Mozingo has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kendall Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Crook County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Crook County's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-11. As for Estacada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
Coincidentally, Crook County and Estacada will both be playing The Dalles the next time they take the field. The Cowboys will head out to face the Riverhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rangers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
