If North Panola wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Independence, they should've done a better job of containing Jax Wilson. The Independence Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over the North Panola Cougars on Friday thanks in part to Wilson, who posted 42 points. Those 42 points gave him a new career-high.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for North Panola, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats duke it out with the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Panola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
