Softball Recap: Lunenburg's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Lunenburg lost against Narragansett Regional back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Knights took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The loss put an end to the Blue Knights' undefeated start to the season.

Chloe Koziol made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Heather Lombardo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lunenburg fell to 2-1. As for Narragansett Regional, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Lunenburg will head out on the road to challenge Quabbin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Narragansett Regional, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against West Boylston at 4:00 p.m.
