Bishop has gone a perfect 3-0 against Chula Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Knights will challenge the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Bishop's is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Chula Vista will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bishop's extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Knights had just enough and edged out Campbell Hall 8-6. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Grayson Blatt tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Dane Larson was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alex Moreno, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Chula Vista came up short against Olympian on Tuesday and fell 7-2.

Chula Vista also got a good showing from Eric Zepeda, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Chula Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Mendoza, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Bishop's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chula Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2.

Bishop's took their win against Chula Vista in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
