Basketball Recap: Weir Comes Up Short

Weir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 75-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Toronto Red Knights. While losing is never fun, the Red Riders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 506th in West Virginia, while the Red Knights are ranked 148th in Ohio).

Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Toronto, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Weir will be taking part in a tournament against Quaker Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Toronto, they will be playing at home against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
