Football Recap: Weeki Wachee Takes a Loss

Weeki Wachee and New Smyrna Beach squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Weeki Wachee had to settle for second. They and the Barracudas were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 7-6 loss. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for New Smyrna Beach, they moved to 12-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Weeki Wachee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Smyrna Beach, they have already played their next contest, a 19-7 loss against Hernando on the 28th.
