Mercedes has gone 8-2 against Pace recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Mercedes and three for Pace.

Mercedes fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lopez on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Pace came up short against Rivera on Thursday, falling 18-3.

Pace saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eduardo De La Garza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was De La Garza's first of the season.

Mercedes' loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Pace, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Mercedes took their win against Pace in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
