Volleyball Recap: Rock Island Takes a Loss

Rock Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Nashville Hornets.

Julia Tarnow paced Rock Island's offense, picking up four kills. Tarnow got some help from AJ Stewart and her six assists. Avery Stewart controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Rock Island's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Nashville, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Rock Island wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lincoln-Way East on the 5th. As for Nashville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Freeburg on the 5th.
